A beautiful antique Limoges porcelain pedestal fruit bowl/compote dating to approximately the 1930s.

This impressive square-form piece features a rich raspberry-pink interior accented with elaborate gold gilt botanical decoration. The central white porcelain medallion displays a colorful floral bouquet with roses, blue and purple flowers, yellow blossoms and green foliage. Additional floral panels decorate the sides, while the scalloped/lobed rim is finished with gold.

The bowl is elevated on an elegant porcelain pedestal with a square base. The stem and base are decorated with additional floral artwork and gold accents.

Its substantial size, elaborate decoration and striking pink-and-gold presentation make it suitable as a fruit bowl, centerpiece, decorative compote, or collectible French porcelain display piece.
