Exceptional antique French porcelain decorative/serving plate featuring an elaborate hand-painted floral design in pink and fuchsia roses with white flowers, set against a rich red border.
The plate has extensive ornate gold decoration, raised/beaded gilt detailing, scalloped edges, floral cartouches, and a beautifully decorated central medallion.
Made in France. Circa 1900.
The combination of hand-painted floral decoration, strong fuchsia coloring and elaborate gilding is characteristic of the highly decorative French porcelain produced around the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
