Description

A charming early Royal Doulton Watchman series jug featuring the “Watchman – What of the Night?” design.

The cream/ivory crackle-glazed body is decorated with a green-clad watchman carrying his staff, with green patterned interior decoration and gilt edging. The underside carries the Royal Doulton mark and Rd. No. 383666.

This is an antique piece with considerable character and age-related appeal. The handle is
